VA Disability Rating & Pay Calculator

The VA combines ratings with its own math — two 50% ratings don't make 100%. Enter your ratings and dependents to estimate your combined rating and your 2026 monthly compensation.

Tag any arm or leg disability with its side. If you have a disability on both arms or both legs , the VA adds a “bilateral factor” — an additional percentage of those paired ratings (§4.26) — before combining, which this calculator applies automatically once both sides of a pair are entered. Everything else (back, PTSD, sleep apnea, etc.) stays as “Other.”

Add at least one rating to see your results.

This tool estimates your combined schedular rating (38 CFR §4.25–4.26) and your monthly compensation using official VA rates effective December 1, 2025. It does not determine special monthly compensation (SMC) beyond a spouse's Aid & Attendance, and it is not legal advice. The VA makes all final determinations.
