Mike

Mike Foley is the Executive Partner and a founding partner of Valor Veterans Law, where he focuses on veterans benefits appeals and military discharge upgrades. Prior to founding Valor, Mike served as the VA Benefits Appeals and Discharge Upgrade Director at the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project (RMVAP), where he led complex administrative appeals and represented veterans across multiple review forums.


Mike is an Army veteran and a 2024 graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Originally from Boston, he relocated to Colorado while serving as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant (18E) with the 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Following his military service, Mike completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona before returning to Colorado to continue public service.


Before entering the legal profession, Mike served for six years as a police officer with the City of Aurora, bringing frontline experience in law enforcement, investigations, and public service to his legal advocacy. He joined RMVAP to continue serving veterans and their families, combining his military, law enforcement, and legal backgrounds to deliver practical, veteran-centered representation.
